Vermont SenatorĀ Bernie SandersĀ easily won the Nevada Democratic caucuses withĀ multiple news agencies projecting his victoryĀ with just over four percent of the precincts reporting their results. The decisive win is a huge boost for Sanders, who enters the next primary in South Carolina, trailing closely behindĀ Joe Biden.
Biden performed well in Nevada and was sitting in second place as results continue to trickle in. Biden, who underperformed in Iowa and New Hampshire, boasted to his supporters thatĀ the results show he can win South Carolina.
"We're alive, and we're coming back, and we're going to win," he said. "We're going to win in South Carolina, and then Super Tuesday, and we are on our way."
