Former Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson slammed the mainstream media while speaking before Congress Tuesday; ironically saying the press should have paid more “attention” to Russian election meddling during the 2016 race for the White House.
The senior Obama official was speaking with Sen. Dianne Feinstein when he blamed the media outlets for burying reports regarding the Kremlin’s intentions of sowing chaos in the American electoral process; seemingly ignoring his administration’s total lack of response to foreign interference.

“On October 7th, 2016 the Director of National Intelligence and I issued a pretty blunt statement saying the Russian government was interfering in our political process directed by the highest-levels of the Russian government,” said Johnson.
“That was a pretty blunt statement, some people believe we should have done that sooner. Frankly, it didn’t get the attention that I thought it should have received, it was below-the-fold news the next day,” he added.
