Churchill Downs Releases Derby Week Parking Plan

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Churchill Downs is making changes to their Derby week parking plan.

Among the biggest changes to the plan is the elimination of the shuttle buses between the track and Papa John's Cardinal Stadium's lots on Oaks and Derby days. That change comes as the track includes parking passes for the Kentucky Expo Center with all reserved seat tickets sold for Oaks and Derby. That pass is required to park there with the exception of Thurby. People will still be able to park at the stadium but will have to walk to the track. All parking at the track itself will be reserved beginning April 28 through May 5. The changes come as Churchill Downs debuts a new transportation center in front of the main gates at the track along with an expansion of the parking areas just outside the track.
