There's a ton of medical news today and we called upon Dr. Jim Keany, co-Director of the ER at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo to explain all of it.
Here's what we covered today:
- It's colon cancer awareness month, more and more young people under 50 are being diagnosed with colorectal cancer and doctors can't figure out why
- There's a drug resistant shigella making the rounds and it's serious, especially for kids under 5.
- Vasectomies are even safer than everyone thought...so 'snip, snip' boys!
- CDC recommends that all adults in the US should get a Hepatitis B test at least once
