Sheriff Mark Lamb on the Border Crisis and Kamala’s Political Maneuvering

In this in-depth interview, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb joins Joe Pags to offer a sobering assessment of the southern border crisis and Kamala Harris’s recent visit to the border. As a well-known figure in law enforcement, Lamb has become a vocal advocate for stronger border security and is widely recognized for his tough stance on crime. His experience on the frontlines in Arizona provides a crucial perspective on the challenges facing the U.S. southern border.

Lamb begins by criticizing Harris’s visit as political theater, describing her as the “epitome of politics,” someone willing to say or do anything to maintain her position. He underscores that the border remains one of the most pressing issues for the people of Arizona, and it’s clear that voters are increasingly leaning toward Donald Trump because of his stance on immigration and border security. Although not all Arizonans fully support Trump, Lamb notes, they appreciated having more economic stability under his leadership, which resonates with many in the state.

A prominent figure in Arizona, Mark Lamb has served as the Pinal County Sheriff since 2017. Known for his strong stance on immigration and border security, Lamb has been a vocal critic of the Biden administration’s policies and has made numerous media appearances to discuss the situation at the southern border. Often referred to as “America’s Sheriff,” Lamb founded the American Sheriff Network, a platform that supports and highlights the role of law enforcement across the nation. His visibility and influence extend beyond Arizona, making him a prominent voice in the national conversation on border security.

Delving into the recently released border numbers, Lamb believes the timing of the release shows that agencies like ICE and Border Patrol are fed up with the current administration's mishandling of the border crisis. The numbers, according to Lamb, reflect a failure to protect the American people and a troubling influx of undocumented immigrants, many of whom may pose a threat. Lamb questions how the U.S. can possibly vet these individuals, noting that there are no real consequences for crossing the border illegally.

One of the most concerning issues Lamb highlights is the separation of children from their parents. He explains that, as a sheriff, he regularly has to separate children from parents in the course of making arrests. However, what alarms him most is the 300,000 unaccounted-for children who have been sent to various parts of the U.S. under the Biden administration. He describes this as a dark and tragic failure of the system.

Lamb also reflects on how the U.S. once had a system where migrant workers came to work and then returned home with their earnings. Now, he says, immigrants stay indefinitely, contributing to a growing crisis at the border.

As for the future, Lamb predicts Trump will win Arizona by 5 points, driven largely by the border crisis, which remains a central concern for many voters.
